Gift Card Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the world of gift cards that actually help writers get things done.
No knick-knacks, notebooks, or novelty mugs – just a touch of editing magic for the next step in the writerly journey.
By purchasing or using a gift card, you agree to the following:
Validity / Expiry
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase (unless Christmas themed).
Christmas-themed gift cards are valid until 31st December of the following year.
Seasonal designs (Valentine’s, Thanksgiving, etc.) are only available during the relevant period and follow the same rules as standard gift cards.
Important: The validity period refers to when the booking must be made, not when the service has to be completed.
Non-refundable
Gift cards are non-refundable.
Once purchased, they cannot be exchanged for cash.
Transferability
Gift cards may be transferred to another writer/recipient.
To transfer a gift card, the current recipient must confirm via email the name and email of the new recipient who will be using the code (e.g., “Code XXXX will now be used by Jane Smith, janesmith@example.com).
Transferred gift cards must still be redeemed before the expiration date.
Booking & Service
Each gift card has a unique code that must be used to redeem the service.
Bookings must be made within the validity period.
The actual service can be scheduled beyond this period, depending on availability. (Example: A Christmas gift card is purchased in December, booked the following November, and the service may be scheduled for the following year depending on the editor’s availability – that’s fine.
Gift cards cannot guarantee specific time slots if the schedule is full.
Redemption
Gift cards may be redeemed in part or in full against any editing service offered by KP Editorial Services.
To redeem a gift card, the recipient MUST provide the unique code when booking via email.
When booking a service, please email me from the address the buyer provided for you when they made the purchase (probably the same one they sent your PDF gift to). If you use a different email, I might ask for a bit more info to confirm your identity – please don’t take offence.
No physical card needs to be presented – your code is your key to editing magic.
Lost or Stolen Codes
Please keep gift card codes safe. Keeping the email is advisable even if printing out.
If a code is lost or stolen, it may only be sent out again to the original purchase email – so treat them like rare manuscripts.
Other Terms
Gift cards cannot be combined with other offers unless specified.
Gift cards cannot be resold for profit.
By purchasing or redeeming a gift card, both the buyer and the recipient agree to these terms and conditions.
If you have questions about redemption or transfers, email kpeditorial@outlook.com before booking or transferring the gift card.
